Nominally the db0 admins are anarchists, which is why I even entertained the idea. If they were avowed liberals, probably not.

That said, not among politicians but among normal people, there totally were liberals who at least became much more appreciative of communists once fascists started widening the scope of their killing, because the communists have consistently been their most militant opposition and that matters to some people even if they wrote off Marx, etc.

With respect, you were at the very least doing that thing where libs and [however you’d like to self-describe] attack the same targets along mostly the same lines, which incidentally involved red-bashing. I witnessed and once or twice participated in many of those arguments on another account.

I have no interest in trying to shame you or something ridiculous like that if you’ve decided a tentative red-black alliance is a good thing, though. I’d much rather we all try to be constructive about things, and I didn’t read all the details in the post because I just can’t stand the same old ignorant concern-trolling from liberals that you were dealing with (credit to you for pushing back against it), but from the parts I did see, I think you were being pretty reasonable.

I can’t really speak on behalf of the community and in fact think the majority of people who have an opinion on me at all dislike me, which is their prerogative, but I hope that our communities (or our community and your admins) can improve relations a bit in light of these neoliberal pricks attacking you in this way.

Sometimes it involves cherrypicking for when a reactionary among us says something shitty (before they get banned for saying it), and other times it’s based on reflexive reactions, “denying” this or that “genocide” or other mass-death event, for example, because to many people Stalin is Super Hitler and repeating mainstream neoliberal historiography about the Holodomor not being intentionally “perpetrated” by anyone but the kulaks (who weren’t the biggest issue, to be clear to whichever libs are reading) is the same to them as Holocaust denial. Some people have just read a hundred thousand reddit comments about Uighurs being exterminated, so when you say that that’s ridiculous and the most you can say is that there have been custodial deaths with no evidence of murder, and otherwise there were “merely” various types of repression that do not constitute genocide, well, you’re now a Holocaust denier times two, which is even worse than the normal Holocaust deniers because they only deny one Holocaust.

Also sometimes people saying things like roux just said above you, which are genuinely unhealthy. Goat clearly needs some sort of intervention, but not a fucking execution or any kind of physical harm.
