Yeah, C&C
when I was younger i thought he was funny, now i think he was justified
The best part is that even he had visible trouble containing his laughter.
“I am going to the one place that hasn’t been CORRUPTED by CAPITALISM… visibly tries not to laugh… SPAAaaAAce!”
Communism was just. A. Red. Herring.
“I think she meant he threatened, in public, to kill her. 🙄”
Rocky Horror Picture Show.
Can confirm this is true across many generations
…which would mean that you probably cannot actually tell how old someone is based on recognizing the good doctor.
… which also does make sense given the sacred ritual of the time warp.
Of course. I took my uncle to midnight showing, and the guy in front of him heard him disparaging the “hippies” around the theater. When Dr Frank-N-Furter came down the elevator, the guy stood up, and when Dr. F made his reveal, the guy spun around to face my uncle, and yanked his long coat open to reveal a full Dr F costume. It traumatized my uncle for life.
How’d you do I… See you’ve met my… Faithful… handyman. legendary eyebrow raise
It from 1990. Absolutely horrifying Pennywise
That shit was on network television during primetime! Scarred our entire generation.
At least the ones that weren’t already done in by Gremlins.
I had to scroll down so far that I started to wonder whether I had to comment it myself.
same. Holy shit, can’t believe i had to scroll this far down D:
We all float down here…
You really can’t, because a lot of Curry’s best works have become timeless classics that have gone on to gain new fans. I certainly wasn’t alive for the original theatrical run of Rocky Horror Picture Show or the broadcast of the IT tv series, but they’re the first two that come to mind.
You certainly were and are alive for Rocky Horror Picture Show’s original theatrical release because it is still on it. It has been continuously shown in theaters since it came out. It is the longest running release in movie history as well as most played movie in terms of numbers of showings in history. And it just had a 4k release for its 50th anniversary, also on its original theatrical run.
…Space!
SHPAAAAAAAYSH
He’ll always be Frank N Furter to me Ya, im old
Let’s do the time warp again!
Theres a light over at the Frankenstein place 🎶🎵
I had to scroll way too far to see someone else who know him as a sweet transvestite from transexual Transylvania.
HAHAH………SPACEEEEE!
I remember him most from Clue though I probably saw him in The Shadow first.
I cannot believe I’m the only person here who is mentioning The Hunt for Red October.
I loved that movie - if only because it had Sean Connery try to do a Russian accent with a very thick Scottish accent overlay.
I think Captain Ramius was just from the Scottish part of the USSR.
Nobody has even mentioned the Colour of Magic either.
Muppets Treasure Island
Clue.
Yep, two corpses — everything’s fine.
Clue and Space!
SPAAAAEECE
Legend
Boyyyyyyyy!
Every wolf has fleas! 'Tis easy enough… to scratch!
Seems silly, but I most remember him from his brief stint on Psych playing Nigel St. Nigel, a knockoff Simon Cowell.
I think he did a guest showing on Monk too.
And also as Nigel from the Wild Thornberrys.
“I feel like an angel baby swaddled in a cocoon of cloud candy.”
