Montrealers with family in Gaza feel helpless as their loved ones remain trapped in the devastated territory and are calling on Canada to fast-track visas to bring them out of danger.
I wonder if this is the kind of stuff that my family living in opposite sides of the Texas/Mexico said this kind of stuff during the Holocaust, or if they were completely in the dark.
I can’t even fathom what these people are going through. After the first month or two of Israel continually punishing Palestinian civilians for an attack to which they had no association, I told my wife that it was unlikely we’d ever visit my Israeli family because I couldn’t imagine how I’d ever forgive the country. Now, I’m not sure I could ever forgive my family.
How does a boy who used to interview and care for Holocaust survivors end up surrounded by Nazis?
I’m not sure why you deleted your comment. It was very well stated and put a great perspective on why Israel will likely get away with this for at least a couple more years before anyone actually does anything about it.

Trauma doesn’t make people kinder. It just makes people hurt.
