Thanks SDF! If I wasn’t desperately broke I’d already be a member!
Thanks SDF admins.
!!!
So happy to have the home instance back. Here’s hoping the missing history resolves itself via federation, but if not, it’s still better than being offline
There’s missing history locally. I posted about it on the BBOARD and also emailed Membership about it. If you want to find missing content locally. Check both the remote versions and federated versions of local communities.
Everything from 9 months ago, including notifications from 9 months ago.
Maybe we had yearly backups?
Gather 'round kids, it’s time to open your backups.
I also make my weekly backups roughly every 3 months. Which reminds me I should do it… tomorrow.
Anyway, last time I lost some data it was when memory card I thought I had backed up died. I managed to gather most of the data from another memory card, 2 laptops, old HDD and a backup DVD as most of the files were scattered around other devices.
test
I’m scared and excited to see what happens when federation finishes
hello everyone is back!
it’s a fucking christmas miracle
It lives!!!
thanks admins!
❤ ~(˘▾˘~)I was startled when I loaded up this instance and it actually came up. From a contributor, thanks to the admins for keeping at it.
Thank you to the admins and those who donated to get this bus back on the road
it was down for you guys?
We seem to be missing quite a few months of posts, comments, etc.
EDIT: I’m not referring to the period during downtime. It looks like we’re missing a good 7 months of local, instance history prior to that. Will that be backfilled at some point, or was it lost?
@notwesker@lemmy.sdf.org it looks like the history doesn’t show up locally, however if you view our instance from another instance, the history does indeed appear and links and content resolve. So maybe it’s a federation issue that either needs manual resync, or will resync on it’s own eventually?
Also, I hate you.
🥳
