Was sent logs of the mod chat by a whistleblower, read what was being said about the struggle sessions, completely and utterly delusional, egotistical, and entirely missing the point, plus direct accusations of me in particular being a wrecker + not to mention misgendering. I’m assuming a couple other users were also sent the html logs, I just don’t have the energy or desire to continue operating on this website after what i read. Basically every concern was completely ignored, subverted, or created baseless accusations. And the mod in particular who was asked to step down by many users is still a mod under another account and was told by admins they did nothing wrong. Thanks to the few cool users on this website but yea the administration is just childish and completely disconnected from its user base, unwilling to face legitimate criticism, so I will not be returning here anymore and I urge others who would like any sort of real positive change to do the same. Maybe someone will create another community and I would be happy to join then, but for now goodbye. This will probably end up getting purged anyways

The interview with the vegan bakery went incredibly well, and it seems to be a good fit. They have quite a small team that is 100% queer and also is comprised of a few POC. I have barista experience, and they seem to have greatly valued that and the fact that I’m vegan as well, of course.
I’m not trying to lean too much into wishful thinking, but something about this interview stood out to me. The person interviewing me did not speak in “ifs.” So, for example, they didn’t say, “If you get hired…” Instead, they said, “When you start working here…”
They are interviewing a few other people, though, so I still have competition. However, this may be the most confident I’ve ever been about an interview yet. I don’t even feel like the job interview that I had a referral for went over this well.
The hiring manager specifically told me that they try not to make interviews too formal and that they aim to greatly differ from how most places do it.
