The problem is that women are a minority on Lemmy. So when men freely post in a women’s community then we end up with a community that mostly consists of men’s voices. It doesn’t matter how sympathetic and supportive they are, in the end the women get drowned out again and the male viewpoint is the one that is carried into the world (from a community named women’s stuff).

I’m very glad that there are lots of supportive men out there, but this just isn’t the space for it.

If you were so damned supportive, you wouldn’t be forcing your way into a space clearly marked as not for you. Jesus.

Yes. Allies who go against specific wishes of those they claim to be allied with are no allies

It’s a community for women. We’re not so hard up that we need men to come in and be sympathetic. Sometimes we just want a kiki with other ladies. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Yes we’ve been blessed with some incredibly supportive men! Sadly we get a lot of attacks from the manosphere, particularly on anything feminist or about men abusing us. We’ve had many really nasty comments, DMs and reported posts… doesn’t bother me, but does bother other members.

These posts from radfems troll baiting incels always feels more like attention seeking to me than any critique.

We’re supposed to be the bigger person.
