Personally, I’m glad things didn’t turn out this way, even if i DO want more resolution with the Susan storyline. I’ll consider this for the best and a happy accident.

    I just wish they wouldn’t be so secretive about it all. It seems pretty clear that they’re scrambling a bit…and honestly, that’s okay. TV is hard, and sometimes you have to pivot. There’s no need to (try to) cover it up.

      yeah. there’s nothing i hate more than hearing, “oh yeah, it was ALWAYS planned to be this way.” B. S. 😆

        I wonder what their main motivation is. If it’s an effort to shield Gatwa from “fan” harassment, it’s commendable. But ultimately probably pointless.

          Shielding Gatwa is certainly a factor. But I think they are mainly saying this to cover for an earlier lie: That Disney not renewing after Season 1 had aired wasn’t a reason to get worried. Admitting that Gatwa quit would mean admitting that your star was worried and the BBC doesn’t want to do that.

    so, i’m guessing Ncuti left because the next series isn’t locked in and he doesn’t want to be committed to something that isn’t nailed down when he has other opportunities to pursue, which makes sense.
