I mean, collapse won’t happen in a few days time, but I’ve been increasingly reflecting on how antisocial, inhumane and unsustainable the western model is and how there has been a clear effort (imo) to make people ignore the ecological disastrous time we’re currently entering (COVID being a perfect example to this), which means they don’t have any meaningful solutions. All the liberal institutions that enforce the current mode of living are completely hollowed out and are operating on pure cynicism and misanthropy.
The system will collapse, it literally cannot continue for much longer but the longer it stays alive, the worse the damage and suffering will be. We have to remember that it is only through solidarity we can build something better, which may sound impossible right now but solidarity is one of the most human things ever and once that ball starts rolling it can become an unstoppable force.
I’m preaching to the choir here, but I’m “enjoying” myself lately by making libs in my entourage uncomfortable about this fact, because even the libbiest libs can’t really deny the dire state we’re in, like shit is getting really, really fucking bad, really fast.
