I guess because it links being gay to being deceitful, or in general associates homosexuality as being shameful?

I don’t really buy that? I’m just calling hypocrites hypocrites when they are being hypocritical.

But I’m open to being educated.

Would’ve been less of an ass if I had time to write.

I’m not gonna pretend to be any more educated.

But, to be straightforward, the issue is less acknowledging that it occurs, but rather what’s implied when suggesting that all or most people that commit homophobic violence are themselves, gay.

One is suggesting that homophobic violence is largely or entirely between gays, both excusing homophobic behavior (righteous homosexuals still know violence is the right option) and reinforcing the idea that homosexuality is a mental illness.
