Orthodox Christianity is closer with each other from Russia all the way until Egypt than they are with Catholics. The only reliably shared values across the European continents history are Imperialism and Genocide. The history, culture, language and architecture of all Mediterranians is much more intertwined than the people living north of the Alps are with the people living south of them.
