I’ve never been more upset. Is it too late to replant?

    Probably a raccoon, especially If you had any disturbed soil anywhere in the garden.
    They like to dig up freshly disturbed soil to look for things to eat.
    I had one dig up and a peach sapling I had just planted the day before looking for goodies in the fresh dirt.
