I grew up around a lot of Jewish kids and many of them would do this. At first I thought “wow, I didn’t know Jewish people were that much into civil rights” but now when I take their allyship, and the comments I also heard like “They were hiding in hospitals so it had to be bombed”, then I know they’re just trying to take credit for civil wins to spend on downplaying war crimes.
Its fucked because there are plenty who ars genuine about thr allyship but ones like schumer marguiles hammer the poc and lgbt saying oh they wouldn’t accept you in Palestine unlike in Israel. That good old western spin.
I don’t think people outside of America would be any less racist to poc in America
I argue it would have a more potent racism, due to it functionally justifying their society and economic mode of production, built upon the basis of dispossessing indigenous people’s land and livelihoods and expanding this further else upon their region. In essence, their identity, economy, society requires that racism live, more longer, compared to Palestine, which has lack of need for it.
I was assuming you’re generalizing and equating Falastinis with Israelis, in terms of racism, but as much as a Falastini will be racist to you, Israelis would be worse, due to the material system that racism lives with, and is in fact, supported by.
Always with the White Man’s Burden shit. “They are uncivilized therefore indiscriminate bombing is good, actually.” They just switched from Christianity, art, music, and literature to civil rights.
Even when I didn’t understand what isntreal was doing back then, I knew blowing up hospitals because “terrorist are hiding in them” sounded insane. I assumed they were empty/evacuated because no reasonable person would thinking blowing up an occupied hospital because “terrorists” are hiding in them is a good solution.
Remember that time Obama drone striked a hospital Doctors Without Borders was working out of? I don’t even remember who they were planning on taking out. Like he did it just because he could.
Never liked that amy schumer character but her weaponising Jewish allyship with poc to gain support for this genocide will always piss me off

I mean, neither would accept poc let’s be honest. I used to work for a palestinian guy and he’d be racist to me all the time
Don’t extrapolate your lived experienced though.
I’d wager no one else in this Earth has as much settler-colonial brainworms as Americans, Israelis, Australians, and so forth

I don’t really think it makes a material difference to the individual
Fine, agree to disagree.

This is like a daily discussion here.
There is also those who point out the gdp differences between Palestine and Israel. I fucking wonder why that is
do they think that the patients in the hospitals wouldn’t hear a missile being fired right above them?
