There’s another benefit to exposing yourself to diverse sources as well. Engaging with ideas you disagree with forces you to test your own beliefs. When you encounter opposing views, ask yourself why you disagree. Working through that tension will expose weak points in your own thinking, and doing so sharpens your understanding going forward.
