Its definitely true and there’s a lot of correlation between sexual assault/misconduct and repression though doing science here is obviously really hard so all I can share is some personal anecdotes.
I see a lot of sex tourists here in Thailand (and Vietnam where I lived previously) from repressed countries like middle east region and India and its scary how badly these people are behaving to the point where they are banned from many sex avenues. 2000 years ago would’ve been the Romans, Christianity much less Catholicism simply didn’t exist at that time. And I think Morocco conquered Andalusia before the crusades. By like 400 years.
Because it takes a special psychological state for people to contribute to these actions. Sexual repression highly contributes to creating such mental states.
