Hopeless from the beginning. Conservatives can’t keep you from being who you’re supposed to be, only delay it.

No anon, you became who you were meant to be in spite of your parents. You just be careful about it, ok?

Is what I would say if op was anon, but op isn’t anon so obviously the whole thing is fake and gay (which I’d like to remind everyone is not a bad thing).

Parents: “You should be punished for having romantic feelings and a sense of independence”

Me: “I reflexively and ritualistically punish myself whenever I’m feeling romantic or pursuing independence”

Nah. Nothing here that I can see.

I don’t really think we need to manufacture any more. The way I see it, there’s already a natural surplus of bottoms.

          natural surplus

Don’t you mean national surplus, or global surplus? Or maybe bottoms are just more naturally created?

I’m not saying everyone raised catholic wants a partner who dresses like a nun and makes you call them Mother Superior, but I am saying those are the ones I hang out with

Not hopeless, just overcompensating from the freedom.

OP needs to strongly consider whether he:

    1. actually likes doing those things, or
    2. is just entranced/aroused by being able to do things that would be otherwise forbidden by his family and culture.

Either is OK, but when being the source of that behaviour, the former is a lot more healthy than the latter.

Probably a bit of both, anon

But in reality it’s not fucked up, it’s just who you are and what you like, though again your tight ass upbringing may have given you some ideas

Its definitely true and there’s a lot of correlation between sexual assault/misconduct and repression though doing science here is obviously really hard so all I can share is some personal anecdotes.

I see a lot of sex tourists here in Thailand (and Vietnam where I lived previously) from repressed countries like middle east region and India and its scary how badly these people are behaving to the point where they are banned from many sex avenues. I had a fried who basically was a Islam virgin and a complete sexual retard and obviously very promiscuous when detached from that until he managed to grow up in a year or two.

Religious sexual repression is scary. My pet theory is that middle east problems would be solved if every dude was just handed a pocket pussy when they turn 16 lol

I know my comment isn’t directly about catholicism but its the same thing no matter which religion is enforcing the repression.

How will that solve being invaded and meddled with for oil and trade routes?

Or 2000 years ago, being invaded and meddled with for frankincense and trade routes?

2000 years ago would’ve been the Romans, Christianity much less Catholicism simply didn’t exist at that time. And I think Morocco conquered Andalusia before the crusades. By like 400 years.

Because it takes a special psychological state for people to contribute to these actions. Sexual repression highly contributes to creating such mental states.

I don’t think the Greek and Roman pagans were known for sexual repression and yet they engaged in wars and conquests, including of the Middle East and Arabia. Neither were the Arab pagans they conquered and invaded. It has always been about resources and access to them.

My Catholic friend had most pleasure removed from sex. He doesn’t see it as filthy or sinful, but is very nervous by the prospect of disease and pregnancy. He still enjoys having sex because his partners have loved it, and he likes making them happy.

It’s more of a game of how quickly/often he can make them climax. For him it is just kind of boring and getting in the way of sleeping/cuddling which he finds much more pleasant.

I think, as with most things, it’s a continuum. On one end, they are pretty chill and at the other end are the extremists that are convinced exposed shoulders will instantly corrupt anyone with a penis.
