It’s to get your phones unique identifier /IMEI. Marketing sdks use this to know what to advertise to you.
I wish it was more granular and that they used a hash for IMEI. I’d happily share an IMEI unique hash. I’m not letting it make calls.

For real. At least half the time a native app isn’t even necessary. Just offer a high quality mobile experience on your website.
