Yeah IDK why you’d bother listening to commercial radio but college and coop radio stations fucking rock. In my city nonprofit radio isn’t allowed to advertise so they just play public service announcements which rocks. Also to watch the video you only get indie rock from nonprofit radio but in my experience you get a ton of diversity of language, culture and genre.

Realistically as a propagandized child from the suburbs in the imperial core college radio did radicalize me because one of them used to and still does play Democracy Now. Today one of them plays Nora’s weekly Electronic Intifada half hour news update.
