The recent debate between Hasan and Bademp had them both within 10 minutes moaning about how China hasnt invaded Israel yet.

Like I get it, they are annoyed the biggest communist party in the world isnt intervening, and some of China’s foriegn policy is underwhelming at best.

But at the same time, I feel like they just want China to act like the US does, just with a red flag - intervening as world police without care for the body count or destabilization that happens as a result.

I feel like people such as Hasan and Badempanada forget that China’s foreign policy has its limitations. I have disagreements with some of their decisions, like trading with the Zionist entity, but at the same time I understand it’s part of a long-term goal of integrating itself fully into the global economy and eliminating the primary contradiction of Imperialism (if that makes sense).

I think China also recognizes that if they intervene militarily, the US will use that as a pretext of starting a war with China. So by pursuing win-win cooperation and non-interference, they hold off imperialist aggression much longer.

Yeah I think their strategy really is just to act as a more rational alternative to hegemonic power where they are willing to use diplomacy more than violence or the threat of violence to resolve things.

I say this all and still wish they did more but what can you do, Gaza isn’t their horse or their race, short of carpet bombing Isntreal condemning and sanctioning is about the best it can do without opening itself up to self harm globally.

That’s true. There’s also the fact that by not responding with military force, China just kinda lets the US destroy its own reputation.
