Nazi Germany sent more than just Jews, disabled, and homosexuals to their camps. They also sent political enemies.

Taken from her family just before midnight and thrown into a prison for speaking out against an authoritarian POS.

They were arrested in El Salvador, likely the charge is “Fuck that person in particular”. El Salvador has long since left any semblance of law and order, that’s why Trump has become so cozy with them.

I will be absolutely shocked if the person is still alive a year from now. And this also highlights why everyone knew that trying to mount legal defense from El Salvadorian jurisdiction was never going to happen. The country has demonstrated zero compunction with incarcerating people the government doesn’t like and indicating that legal rationale isn’t needed to justify their actions.

Are we talking about the same country? The one that had the highest murder rate in the world a couple years ago and now has some of the lowest? The one where people were scared to go out during the day because of gang violence, but now you can walk safely alone at night? The one where every official was bought off by gangs, but now is prosecuting those officials and gang members? The one where its citizens overwhelmingly support the actions taken to get their lives and safety back?

If you are picking your battles, this is certainly not one to choose.

I mean I’m a bukele critic and have been since he was still popular, but I live in Guatemala right next to el salvador and have lots of friends there and there’s been a definite, noticable drop in crime. Most Salvadorians like Bukele. I don’t think it’s sustainable and don’t think it justifies his other actions but acting like he’s done nothing is not a valid stance to take.

Are you actually trying to claim life hasn’t improved for the average El Salvadoran? I work with some and they are no longer scared to go visit family. Even with the new trump rules they have had no issue getting back into the country (they are US citizens though)

          What’s your point, boot-licker?

Authoritarian shitholes tend to have low crime rates. That’s what happens when you spy on everyone and ruthlessly crush freedom.

But you masturbate to Punisher comics, so what would you know?

IIRC she is a El Salvador lawyer working from there, that dictator slapped some embezzlement charge on her or something similar to how many dictator silence opposition, i.e. Nulvany
