Most people don’t respect deadly objects in their possession enough to learn how to use them safely and effectively. That’s made obvious any time you watch people drive.

Right. People with a gun in the house are more likely to be injured or killed by a gun, not less.
Not to mention, most people aren’t going to train enough to be effective. Most people don’t respect deadly objects in their possession enough to learn how to use them safely and effectively. That’s made obvious any time you watch people drive.
