Yeah people subscribing to things like heated car seats, pressure cooker timer, software as a service, are not only financially ignorant they are feeding corporations that come up with the next stupid subscription.

There was a free 3d print I downloaded. The creator had other prints that cost money. They weren’t for sale. You signed up for a donation “subscription”.

I asked if I could send a one time tip because I really liked the free model. I didn’t hear back.

I don’t know what platform this is and I don’t know the terms, but could you just sign up for a month, make the subscription valid with a payment, and cancel before month 2’s payment was debited?

Seems like you could achieve the same goal with that approach - but if you’ve been pro-creator enough to directly offer a tip, I suspect you’ve already considered it :)

Yes I could sub and then cancel after a month. I thought about it for a second but it was too much hassle.
