Sick of getting angry at smug idiots I literally said once “if you can’t enact a solution it’s not a solution it’s a daydream” and got downvoted into oblivion then I went to another sub said that the schooling system is broken and that maybe telling students that something doesn’t exist while it does essentially lying to students (all you have to say is “well this does exist but we’ll take care of it later you can ignore it” instead) isn’t that great and you can guess the feedback

It will never cease to amaze me how you can post the most innocuous or obvious shit on reddit and no matter where on that site you posted, the odds are much higher than not that some smuglord contrarian pun-peddler will downvote you before informing you as to why some shit you did not even say in your comment is wrong, actually. Then people will not read your comment, but they will read the comment of the person who replied to you, and elaborate further as to why a position that you did not even present is incorrect, and also fuck you for this thing you did not say.

Often when I bring this up people will blame bots, but it’s been like that forever.

Like even shitty fedposting-tailored political opinions aside, redditors are a deeply miserable, hateful, smugly ignorant group overall.

Whereas here if I feel like making some inane and pointless comment with shitty spelling about fucking banana bread being dope, I can be 100% confident someone is gonna go “fuck yeah, banana bread” and not have posting anxiety about how someone’s going to put me down for liking banana bread or, worse, parrot some deeply haggard pun, meme, or movie reference at me.
