What is your favorite kit that you’ve personally built and why?

I’ll go first: MG Shin Musha Gundam because it was the first MG I had ever done. I was blown away by the difference between 1/144 and 1/100.

Hm, tough call. But if I had to pick one, it’s probably the MGSD Wing Zero. Gimme that sweet sweet Neo Bird Mode in a cute package.

Probably the MGSD Barbatos and Freedom. They go together very well, all-around solid, and highly articulated for a small package. I have the Wing Zero in the backlog and plan to get to it in the next couple months.

I’ve done RG Wing Zero and RG Wing. I’m currently working on a full color change MG Wing.

    SDBB Destiny

It is surprisingly detailed despite being a SD kit. It has flexible shoulders, and includes both open and closed hands, flexible shoulders, all weapons and most importantly, Wings of Light.

For me, it’s gotta be the HG Ghost Gundam model. The silver coating was very nice, but it was just the icing on the cake. The true beauty of it was just how buttery smooth all of the parts fit together. It’s hard to explain, but in the 30-40 models or so that I’ve done, sliding the parts together on the Ghost Gundam just felt so much more satisfying than any of the other models I’ve done.

MG Zaku II HM Tri-Star 2.0. With the exception of the piping, rock solid classic kit in my favorite sub-team’s flavors. Not much more I could ask for.

MG and HG are totally different beasts. The MG Zaku II 2.0 frame is 15 years old at this point and still holds up. The old HGUC Zaku from 2003, not so much. The revive versions from ~2020 and pretty much anything from The Origin line are great for HGs.
