So long story short I started smoking when I was in my mid-twenties and did it for about 10 years. It wasn’t until recently I switched over to vaping in a vain attempt to quit smoking. Well, it worked, I quit smoking but became totally addicted to vaping instead.

It’s so difficult to kick compared to drinking. Alcohol would make me have terrible hangovers and I’d binge so there’d be weeks at a time I’d lose to being drunk. Compared to smoking it’s nefarious, with cigs I could only smoke outside and there was only 20 to a pack, so I’d have to space it out and plan my breaks around smoking a cig.

Vaping on the other hand, you can do anytime anywhere (mostly). I’d just sit at the computer all day vaping. I even stopped playing games (my passion) just to sit and vape and disassociate.

Anyway I’m trying, again, to quit. I tried yesterday but I ended up fishing out a burnt vape from the trash and took a bunch of hits that made me gag.

So I came to a realization of sorts, my ass is fishing through nasty garbage and putting that to my mouth to get a nicotine fix. Look at how far my ass has fallen sadness

I’ll update this post when I hit the 6 hour mark. God help me.

Distillate vapes for weed have done something similar where i used to have to very much plan my discrete getting high at work whereas now i can basically stand in the smoke pit and get ripped next to my boss because i just tell people i vape and I’m so tolerant of it that i take rips that look like vape clouds.

My weed budget has increased by a lot

I really need the commercialization train to target folks trying to quit weed next, I want some form of nicotine patch for THC. I was at a place that banned all forms of nicotine and those patches were so nice

Edibles are processed through the digestive system and liver so they get metabolized into a different form. I don’t do well with edibles, so I stick to dry herb vaping.

Ideally a patch would absorb into the bloodstream directly but I have no clue if one could actually function that way. Would also save wear on my lungs as a nice bonus

I had to stop using weed vapes during the short COVID “lockdown” we had, it was way too easy to just take rips constantly. I think I spent at least a year there stoned 24/7. I still smoke more than I should but adding just a little bit of ritual helped me cut down by a surprising amount, vapes just have 0 barrier to use and I don’t have the self control for that.

Funnily enough nicotine doesn’t have the same kind of hold on me at all. I tried it a little a few years before COVID and just dropped it after like a month no problem. I think it helped that I kept getting horrific flavour recommendations and got sick of wasting money on bottles of vape juice that I couldn’t even vape
