Israel almost won Eurovision and got second place. They also won the televote by a wide margin. Glad I didn’t vote and watched from an illegal stream. A contest where this is normal shouldn’t get my viewership and votes.
State radio this morning suddenly started talking on Ibrahim Traore and Russian ties and my partner all of a sudden called it bullshit lol. Did not really expect it from her but she saw lots of comments on Dutch state media Instagram defending the man so the people know what’s up it seems.
Went to the local asian supermarket for the first time yesterday and I’m definitely coming back. They have so much more instant noodle brands and flavours than my regular supermarket. And a lot of ingredients and snacks that they don’t have in other supermarkets.
I got Vietnamese instant noodles with shrimp taste, it was pretty delicious.
The asian markets in my city are cheaper than the big chains and the produce is always fresh. I can’t remember the last time I found a decent lime at one of the chains. The asian market that I regularly shop at even makes their own kimchi and its definitely a step above the mass produced stuff!
It’s my go to for everything Asian I cook. So much better than the standard supermarket things. I never knew so many flavors of sambal existed before I went to our local toko.

So in Belgium we recently had a case of sexual assault in which a student raped another student after a night out while she was basically drunk to the point of being blacked out. She filed a report the day after when she found out. The student that raped her was convicted of rape but received only a fine, no punishment and no criminal record either. On top of that he was deemed ‘charismatic and talented, full of potential’ by the judge and received no ban from their field of work. Which is gynacology btw. Yes, a rapist is free to become a gynacologist because he is ‘charismatic and talented’
A famous YouTuber from Belgium exposed his name in a video and was promptly arrested for it. He has a history of exposing criminals like that, becoming famous by exposing rich students who murdered a black peer during a hazing ritual. He was convicted of that also and was now on probation. The trial was today and he was sentenced to be free on probation again but he has to take the video offline and actually stop making content or face jail.
Yes, a rapist can become a gynacologist because he is talented and charismatic. But the YouTuber who exposes him is deemed a danger to society.

This level of sympathy is too grotesque to not be guilty of the same crime.
