#WhatchaReading ? I very much enjoyed What Happens in Amsterdam by Rachel Lynn Solomon. It’s a trope based plot–reunited first loves, convenient marriage–but doesn’t rely on the tropes to do all the work. The characters are believably real & flawed and they grow while falling in love. The descriptions of Amsterdam are so enticing, I want to go there yesterday. And I was a total sucker for playful scenes and romantic symbolism, which just *make* a romance for me.
@willaful @romancebooks sounds fun!
I’m back to listening to the Nights in Bliss and Sirens series by Lexi Blake, currently on Chasing Bliss.
Last week I listened to Canadian Boyfriend by Jenny Holiday, and I feel like you might have recommended it! It was so cute, but the fact that she referred to him by his full name in her head the ENTIRE BOOK drove me crazy! 😂 Was I the only one who noticed?
@lenoreo I may well have been, I did really like it. I’m surprised I didn’t notice that, because it’s just the sort of thing that drives me up the wall, but it’s probably more glaring in audio.
