I was buying Cannabis from a guy in Alberta in ~2010 or so. He called it “Grapefruit” and it was honestly the best weed I ever smoked. Unfortunately, someone called crimestoppers on him and he disappeared. I was never able to find anything like it again, not even after legalization.

The one thing that stood out about it was the lack of “hairs” and crystals. I’m pretty sure it was a low THC strain, as the high was super mellow and I didn’t get any of the anxiety I usually get from anything else I smoked. I suspect it was an old-school strain because my experience with it matches the descriptions I’ve heard from older folk. If there’s any other info that might help, I could try to dredge it up.

I know this doesn’t exactly fit with this comm (sorry) but I haven’t found anywhere else to ask. The people at the stores are of no help either, perhaps unsurprisingly.
