The math works out to being an actual increase in spending (so larger defecit) while cutting tons of things that actually help Americans.
If they pass any tax cuts, it would mean even larger defects. Further proving that republicans are bad for the economy (on top of everything else Trump and Republicans have been doing recently).
The Reaganization of America continues.
Then they take that “military budget” and buy all those cybertrucks under some definition of “armored vehicle” at original sticker price (plus a military surcharge).
Oh it’s still going to be pretty bad for the people in the military, just not the military contractors.
Why is the state department getting defunded that hard? It’s not exactly woke right?
A lot of international aid and development programs fall under the department of state.
The Trump administration does not value soft power (diplomacy) and would rather rely on the military to prevent or solve conflicts.
This, of course, runs afoul of the modern view on international relations. It’s easier to win hearts and minds than use force to stop a conflict.
If you don’t fund the State Department fully, then I need to buy more ammunition.
