There’s watch parties and all that, so why don’t we do the logical next step? (Definitely not me not having anyone to play with in RTS games)

It’s cool to discuss our interests, but I also think it might be productive to have a separate thread for multiplayer games, that way we still have that thread for our deranged ramblings over indie games we found in some dusty old corner of the internet.

Let’s all start a massive map on Advance Wars by Web and then fail to finish it after one player forgets to take their turn after two months (I’m the forgetful player)
I’m open to suggestions that are easy for anyone to hop in to, and I’d be happy to organize if there’s support.
i know i floated something like this a long while back and i suggested anything that’s free (easy to pirate) and supports direct connect. gog games are also easy to pirate or can just be shared if you trust the other person.
there used to be a zomboid server and restarting that would be cool. there’s also luanti (opensource minecraft).
some f2p stuff could be fun too although i don’t really know what’s out there now. i know i tried enlisted a few years ago because someone on lemmygrad suggested it.
the problem i had was not being comfortable with directly hosting something on my computer and announcing it on a public site.
I’d be down for zomboid! I don’t really know how to set up a server but I’d be willing to pay for a dedicated server so nobody has to link to their computer (if that’s how that would work, I don’t really know)

It looks like you can just pay for a dedicated server specifically setup for a game. I havent done this before so I can’t speak to its quality or anything. it might be kind of costly though
are there any d&d groups on here? or any other ttrpg? i see we have the Axe and Sickle discord in the sidebar doing a westmarches campaign, but maybe people would be interested in something a bit smaller

I’m not good at RTS, but I do like playing them. I’ve got stuff like: AOE4, C&C, CoH1&2, Northgard, Planetary Annihilation, Rise of Nations, Sins of a Solar Empire, Stronghold, SupCom, Dawn of War 1&2. I’m not as into 4x though.

I would be open for RTS games or various strategy games in multiplayer like 4x or Grand Strategy Games. I think I would have time on Sunday . Im not very good at RTS games these days though.
I dont care for Mobas though sorry. Plus I would suck HARD at them since I havent played one since the original Dota during Warcraft 3 days.
Some of the RTS games I have are Dawn of War 1 and 2, Northgard, Planetary Annihilation, Age of Empires 4 , Age of Mythology Retold, Red Alert 3 and more
ofc If we could get a Dominions 6 game going that would be great as well… its on sale currently.
On the 4x front I would love to play 40k Gladius, Zephon, Stellaris, CIV 6 or Age of Wonders 4

Stellaris would be super fun :D. I haven’t touched it in well over a year.
Stellaris gets a MASSIVE 4.0 update this Monday. So while im gonna play that next week it probably would make sense to play it next Sunday in multiplayer after I got some experiece with the new update. If you wanna play next weekend hit me up
