Nice long weekend for me and the weathers to be dry!! Catching up with some friends tonight but otherwise hoping to have nothing on all weekend!!
What’s the plans for tomorrow then? Looks another fine day to be out and about. Maybe some gardening?
Might visit my dad! Have been going all weekend but never made it yet. Been doing stuff in the garden for the last few weeks. Tidied the pond and made it a bit bigger, planted some new wildflowers, got some strawberries and nasturtiums. Lots of maintenence!! Are you off?
Nope, work for me. Our strawberries in year 3 here, so expecting a huge crop, yum yum
Been enjoying fresh asparagus season, but it’s so expensive to buy local stuff
We had strawberries but not for a few years, so trying again! Had a little rhubarb so made a wee crumble!!
Potentially going for a short cycle as a bit of grease and percussive maintenance seems to have fixed the bike (for now).

I did it! It was a very short cycle. Just around the block. But, given both the ongoing maintenance needs of the bike and (perhaps more relevantly) my own level of confidence after years of not cycling, I am calling that a win.

Maintenance-wise, I think the tyres need replaced. Looking pretty haggard. Confidence-wise, probably gradually increasing the loop. The legs aren’t used to the motion of cycling anymore either so physically a gradual increase is probably a good idea.
