Still struggling with the parry system, I’m not typically great at split second timing but I think I’m starting to get the hang of it by gauging it on the audio queues.

I don’t generally play soulslikes, but this feels like the complaints I heard about Lies of P; big, slow windups followed by ridiculously fast attacks where the contrast makes them very hard to judge.

I don’t mind that the system exists, but I wish it was a little more forgiving. I ended up putting it on easy because I just don’t have the time, patience or reflexes to git gud at something like this.

Gotta love a dude getting upset over mistaken personal understanding of history… in a game where psuedo-Paris has magically been thrown into the ocean and people can fly and cast spells against animated machines.

It’s even more blatant racism than normal because it would be historically incorrect if there were no black people in a belle epoque France setting. Paris literally had a black mayor in 1879.

Sometimes I feel like the visual queues are a better gauge for dodge/parry. Some enemies have a super easy audio queue that the sound goes and you push the button to win, but enemies like Luster when they do the anime dash slice I feel like the best time to parry is when their arms point forward since I don’t notice much with the sound

The different parry mechanics have different timings, too. Some feel like they need to be early, and others feel like they need to be late.
