    While I’m not in support of their moderation policies, he wasn’t actually doing that. He was saying there’s no need to claim that the US is somehow acting in a way that’s new because it’s controlled by Russia. That’s what the US always did. You expect the US to bomb random people in far away countries even more than you expect China or Russia to. It’s kind of our thing.

      Now I’m a bit curious which world militaries have murdered the most people across history. Is there any analysis on this?

        If you count historic empires and their own citizens, it’s China. No other country even comes close. Mao Zedong alone had about as many people killed as both world wars combined.

        I think 7M European Jews puts an military out I’m front by a bit. Unless you want to count famine as a tactic, Russia could be close.

          My suspicion is it might be the US but these aren’t really the even-handed comparisons I’m looking for.
