Growers, insurers, eaters…
I suspect most of the corn is being fed to cattle or wasted as ethanol, rather than being eaten by people.
We don’t eat cattlecorn, but we do eat cattle. The point stands.
You bring up another good point is that corn is in a million industrial processes and products. From plastics, medicine, booze and fuel and a million other things we’re going to miss.
