Turner knelt in prayer and laid a wreath at the entrance of the museum in support of its mission, which incurred President Donald Trump’s criticism alongside other Smithsonian Institution sites. In a March 27 executive order, Trump alleged that Smithsonian exhibits had disparaged the nation’s history via a “divisive, race-centered ideology.”
This is a classic Right Wing move. When they are in office they pass a law/take an action that they knew will infuriate the Left. These Churches are doing the same thing Planned Parenthood has to do when abortion rights are threatened; they have to take money from other priorities to defend against the government. Meanwhile, the government takes tax payer money to keep their fight going.
Every dollar that goes to this fight means a dollar taken from the 2026 Dem candidates.

Like slavery is bad? Yeah that was pretty divisive ~150 years ago. And still is in many heads. IMO that should be labeled “Critical Race Theory”, not the actual truth.
