The episode starts in the 22nd Century in the Arctic … and the first thought I had was … WE BEAT GLOBAL WARMING!!! Because there’s still ice and snow in the Arctic.
Or was it restored from the WW3 nuclear winter?
Actually neither: if you zoom in, you’ll see that it’s dandruff (Andorian dandruff if you want to get technical).
So the Aenar don’t actually live under the ice, it’s just a collection of their massive dandruff accumulation?
To paraphrase Futurama, we had global warming, sure, but nuclear winter canceled it out.
Well that and the giant ice cubes they dropped into the Atlantic.
Unless we do something about it, the CO2 is here for hundreds of thousands of years. But the nuclear winter will be gone by the time the show is on.
Probably easier to do with volcanic eruption if throws up alot of sulfur dioxide
