Last weekend I was able to get a few records from the 70s to the 90s, stuff like Marillion (obv), Blue Öyster Cult, Fleetwood Mac, Missing Persons, Planet P Project and others.

Most of them were stored in the basement when the house got flooded, which damaged the sleeves at the bottom, and so are the records themselves.

Luckily, they still play and do not sound bad at all, but the needle keeps jumping in some tracks. I have already wiped and brushed them with both a carbon fiber and a velvet brush, but in some cases that’s not enough to fix it. There is no visual damage to the records, so l assume it’s fixable.

I haven’t had those problems yet, so any tips on cleaning are highly appreciated!
