Tyre management is the biggest challenge for pretty much everyone each time they make a step up in formulas, so no real surprise there. It was also something Piastri struggled with initially.
Cutting out mistakes in qualy is also important, but at least he’s showing pace. Better that than making no mistakes but being slow. He was reasonably close to George in Jeddah (and George is a great qualifier) until the last lap in Q3 where his mistake in S1 cost him several tenths and basically his chance of a good lap.
