Katie Perry was in space for 11 mintues. Valentina Tereshkova was in space 3 days.
Also a major factor in choosing her was she was a competitive parachutist and the Soviet Space program had you eject and parachute from high altitude rather than ride the capsule down. Which sounds intense but is a lot more straightforward and safe (if you know how) when you think about it.
Not to mention Valentina Tereshkova was the crew and thus deserves to be called an astronaut/cosmonaut, whereas Katy Perry was a passenger and does not.
Katy Perry jokes aside, all flight crews should be female. Since every kg of weight matters, sending women makes sense for reducing payload. Women have been shown to suffer less physical damage from extend time in space. It is low gravity, so physical strength is less important.

I mean, I’m a dude and I’ve had to do a lot of work in the direction of listening more and trying less to find solutions when people tell me their shit, I don’t think that what you’re saying is ban-worthy.
