      It looks like AI to me. The arrangement of the LEDs in the sign make no sense given that the number has to change and the details on the far away road looks weird.

        It’s certainly AI.

        The far away details are clearly fake. There’s a lamp post that just fades out of existence, random junk where there should be road, and the bushes change shape across lamp posts.

        The 5 on the interstate logo also has a telltale, it’s all weird but the rest of the text on the sign is pixel perfect.

          I would expect a display like that to use pixels, but the displays in the picture do not use pixels. Notice how the LEDs follow the contour of the “5”. True pixels would not follow the contour and would instead have visible “stair stepping” on the contour.

    The British flags on the highway marker makes little sense.

      It’s the BC flag, it’s on all BC highways, which is what the numbers on this sign are showing. I don’t dispute it’s probably AI generated to add the bottom bit, but that’s what the border wait signs look like.
