Hey, doing an Oblivion remaster into Unreal 5 in less than a year is just a pathetic attempt at stealing the show from Skyblivion and it’s going to be a shitshow like anything Bethesda does, or is it?
Unreal 5
Oh god, I assume forced, awfully configured TAA and sharpening on top of sharpening will come standard? Maybe with a bit of early Lumen on top
I didn’t know about skyblivion. How close is it to being ready to play?
PRETTY FREAKING CLOSE MY FRIEND
After more than ten years of work, the team officialy announced a release date : 2025
Genuinely quite excited. I only played oblivion a little, and last year looked into giving it a proper go, with mods. But after I heard about the remake I decided to leave it and see what they put out. I’m sure it’ll still need a bunch of mods (I hate the levelling) but it’d be nicer on a sturdier graphical chassis.
There won’t be any mods at the start, it’s not the same engine. And good modders are busy helping Skyblivion come out :)
That makes sense, I’ll probably give it some time before I play anyway. Ive only just found out how amazing daggerfall can look with some of it’s mods (thanks to another post on this community!) and that was my first elder scrolls game. So I’ll be playing about with that for a while!
My friend, play Morrowind before anything else than Daggerfall. Trust me. Morrowind is a profound game-changer. And it’s not the same if you play after Skyrim
