When you’re trying to silence someone who’s alleging “really heinous acts,” White said, “everyone thinks, Oh, the allegation must be true. I would think he may have come to the conclusion he has nothing left to lose.”

Well, so far he’s lost three tv series (Sandman, Good Omens, Dead Boy Detectives), a movie (The Graveyard Book), his comics publisher (Dark Horse), a musical (Coraline), several book published have said they have no plans for him in the future (HarperCollins, Marvel, WW Norton), and his sales numbers have dropped.

He’s still got residuals and publishing royalties, and whatever real estate and investments he’s made, so he won’t be starving but it must be hard seeing all that lucre just dry up. I’m kinda hoping he’s having financial difficulties - the auction last spring was supposed to have “part of the proceeds” donated to charity, but they never said what percentage that would be, and the auction only raised a million dollars - a fortune to most of us, but less so to him.
