        Yeah I have noticed that too. I think it comes from a fundamental misunderstanding of why phenomena like the luddites came about.

        People really got to listen to This Machine Kills. It’s a great podcast from some modern very tech literate self proclaimed luddites.

      Piracy spaces and anything adjacent tend to be pretty far right. It’s bizarre.

      Hell even just open source software communities can be fucked up. I’m working on a little project and one tool I came across proudly said “made in the USA”, took 2 seconds to find the dev is a nazi with AI slop plastered all over his profile.

      It’s just kind of bizarre because these sorts of spaces in theory would go against what the right believes in but apparently not
