Blame the writing and the movie timelines. The Prequels had some top actors in it and every one of them had cringe lines. They can only work with what they’re given. He’s great in other movies, and I think in many scenes in Star Wars he was good as well, if the writing was.
I don’t hate Hayden, I don’t even hate the main premise of the movies, I hate how Anakin’s life is rushed through and not properly set up for the fall.
Iirc the prequels also had some glaring tone issues, mixing themes that seldom mix together. Natalie Portman is a fantastic actress and she also looked cartoonish in those films.
He was great when he played himself in life as a house.

But seriously I’m glad he’s on a show that otherwise has lost it’s best character, so it will need any help it can muster.
I enjoyed the flashbacks more than I enjoyed most of the show.
