Had my very own Malcolm In The Middle moment yesterday…
Told the wife before she left to go out somewhere that I was going to try and mow the lawn (it’s been too wet to even walk in the backyard of late).
Fired up the mower and realised one of the tyres was dead flat and had come off the rim.
Jacked the mower up on to stands to take the wheel off, then couldn’t find any of my hand tools in the shed to undo the bolts.
Got my work tools out of the van but after half a dozen trips back and forward I cracked the shits with having to do this every time I wanted to do anything at home.
Went to the local tool shop and bought a rolling toolbox, socket set, hand tools etc.
Stopped in at Bunnings cause the mower shop was closed, but they didn’t have any tubes. Then while I was googling other sources for tubes, I found you can just reseat a tubeless tyre… Oops. So I bought a ratchet strap to give that method a go.
Got home and started to put the toolbox together when I realised it was getting dark, so figured I’d have a crack at the tyre first.
Wrapped the tyre with a ratchet strap and pumped it up (worked by the way), then found the air reel distributor thing (that spools the hose roll up properly instead of stacking in the same place) had snapped. So I tried opening it up to see if I could replace it, but being a plastic clip together piece of shit it just broke so now it’s all in pieces.
Wife gets home and the lawn is unmowed, mower is still on stands with a ratchet strap on one wheel, there’s air line everywhere, half assembled (new) toolboxes and packaging all through the car port… “I thought you were going to mow the lawn?” “What does it look like I’m doing??”

That was a roller coaster of a read. Thank you for the laugh.
Haha I love this story! And an now needing the conclusion when it happens
