Holy shit that’s a lot of drones. I’m having a tough time even picturing what that many would look like.
Imagine a drone occupying a 2ft by 2ft square. You can fit 12,000 of them on one American football field. 420,000 would occupy 35 football fields.
Edit: not exactly sure of the size of drones Ukraine is using, but I picked a round 2ft square as an approximation.
Ukraine will (hopefully) come out of this war as the foremost experts in drone warfare. I can imagine them being the first to build a mothership that deploys thousands of them. Like something from metal gear or ace combat
