In other words, what’s your fave carry?

I have a p938 and a remora holster, but I live a pretty safe life and don’t carry, and if I do it’s a sign that things have gone really really badly.

I feel like I’m so close to excellence with my HK VP9 in a PHLster, appendix carrying but it’s not quite there. I need to figure out some muzzle padding because my most concealable position has a few problematic pressure hotspots.

I really liked it in a different small-of-the-back rig but that’s not the jam these days.

I also adore pocket pistols and have a few with leather pocket-liner holsters. They’re what I end up with the most since they just disappear and I don’t need to undress at all to start or stop carrying.

I also bought a shoulder holster for a 1911 and it is great we need everyone wearing suits all the time to make a comeback.

That said, goddamn do I wish open carrying was the vibe. I don’t want to fiddle with shit I want to slap a box on my belt that just works.

I’ve been eyeing up a Taurus 856 Executive for the past month, one of the cleanest looking short barrel revolvers on the California handgun list. Still haven’t pulled the trigger on the purchase yet I gotta get some overtime hours before I buy anything right now.

Typically an old-ass Kimber 1911 tac-pro II. Modded. Ditched the stupid-ass mag well, and swapped out the steel mainspring housing for polymer. Also swapped out the recoil spring a couple times from general wear. Stock other than that. Need to get a new set of tritiums though. 20 years has not been kind to the half-life of those sights.

Sometimes, when it’s super hot outside I’ll roll with the Sig P938 subcompact.
