I have now encountered this problem a couple times, that I wanted to look into what this and that c/community has to offer for thinkgs in my question, but there seems to be no way to search a c/community, or is there a way?

It’s a little odd. Click the search icon on the top right of the screen. Put in the search query there, but in the community dropdown menu, search for the community you wish to make the search exclusive to.
