It’s true, all my communist friends manage hedge funds, as mandated by the communist manifesto.

One of the small joys I get in my life is seeing anti-communist brainworms come back to bite the capitalists in the ass.

I guess not having an honest conversation as to what communism is out of fear someone might find it appealing was a bit of a liability.

I regularly talk Marxist concepts with regular folks by eliding some names and terminology. It’s surprisingly effective!

Had a fun convo with a local alt-right guy once upon a time. I used communist ideas while we talked, and he agreed with all of them wholeheartedly. Then at the end of the convo I told him that everything I was talking about were communist ideas, at which point he backpedaled wildly and tried to take back his previous agreement to those points. It was hilarious. That guy never talked to me again after that :D

Nowadays I avoid disclosing that fact. I’d say it’s shocking how many people agree with communist principles, but it really isn’t since they’ve just been consistently propagandized to question things that are actually in their self interest. If communism wasn’t made out to be this big bad boogie man I have no doubt that most people would be on board.

I think that’s exactly why those in power don’t educate people on the concept, which is why they have to resort to emotional manipulation based on word association to override people’s logical side. But that’s also the strategic weakness as you discovered.

God damn I’m jealous of republicans. Life would be so fucking easy if you were this fucking stupid.

Like imagine if you went into your job 3 hours late, smoked pot watched movies and jacked off all day and if anybody tried to yell at you for that you could just say “anybody who says I’m not doing an incredible job is a communist”

    And it worked.

Like imagine if in 2016 Bernie had just said “anybody who doesn’t vote for me is a pussy” and that successfully completely locked in the vites of 40% of the population for decades.

This is a pretty common brainworms you see in right wing spaces now. Basically the financial capitalists are all a bunch of commies who used Marxism to manipulate the market and turn themselves into oligarchs and now they wanna go the extra mile and turn themselves into communist-satanic-dictators who can eat babies in public. This is in contrast to the anti-elite wholesome-chad-capitalist who run your local dick sucking factory and are rich by virtue of their innovative spirit, and they’re in a secret war against the gay-communist-satanist-banker nerd capitalists.

Like seriously I’ve seen people on r/JordanPeterson and r/Conservative basically type out what I just said in a totally non-ironic tone.

And this kind of thinking is exactly why anti-Semitism is becoming a problem. Secret Marxist cabal controlling the finance industry is literally Nazism
