Yes, but who will actually prosecute, adjudicate, and enforce this ruling, when the majority of every branch of our government, State Governors, and State Sheriffs are all in for MAGA?
Per the opinion, Boasberg will appoint an attorney to prosecute if DOJ declines to do the job. Conceivably this could even be some private practice attorney.
I suspect that adjudication would be by a different judge in the same district.
Enforcement of any punishment would go to the US Marshals. Things would get really dicy if they decline to carry out orders received from a federal judge.
This all assumes the finding of PC survives the appeal that was just noticed.
The Marshals are already compromised. They acquiesced to protecting Musk.
Private law firms, some that are considered the best in the US, that are not onboard with Trump are being persecuted, right now, by his DoJ. Most of them are submitting. Because they care more about money, and don’t want to up in a death camp.
Another Judge will be ignored, like the last.
