    Lee 48.8% 23,229 votes

    Looks like the tiny percentage from RCV eliminations was split evenly between Taylor and Lee.

    The article doesn’t give the source(s) of any additional votes that remain to be counted.

    Maybe mail-in ballots that will drift in over the next couple of days?

    Oakland uses ranked-choice voting, which means if a candidate receives a majority of first-choice votes, that candidate wins. If not, the last-place candidate is eliminated, and voters who selected that candidate have their votes counted for their next choice — a cycle that repeats until a candidate gets a majority.
