As Croatia is EU member, while Bosnia and Herzegovina is not, the transit through the Neum corridor means passing through exterior EU borders twice. Probably not fun and can be very time consuming.

My bad, lol! It was also EU funds IIRC, since Croatia asked for it as part of the accession deal.
B&H is an applicant, though, so theoretically the bridge will be redundant for the vast majority of travelers soon-ish.
